I would like to switch phones but keep my current contract with T-Mobile when it ends next month. Is that possible, and would I have to pay extra for a new phone(s)?

Also, what *exactly* is an upgrade? (explain)

It all depends on what contract you signed. On my deal, I get a new phone every two years - usually for free. This year, I got a free Razor. However, I have Verizon, not T-Mobile.

If they aren't treating you right, check out what other companies are offering. Often, your current provider will match other offers to keep your business. If not, switch to someone who will offer you more.

An upgrade is when you decide to buy a higher package than what you currently have (more minutes, more features, more money).

You can get a newer phone when your contract expires. Upgrade simply means to get a newer phone and plan.

Call T-Moble's customer service line. They are the most customer service friendly provider. It's their job to answer your questions, you pay for the service every month...
