Think about guys like Steve Smith and Santana Moss that are not very tall, but makes a Heck of an Impact on the Field. If Whatever Position you Choose to try out for, just do it to the best of your abilities. Once They see how well you play, none of that matters anymore. Good Luck WR/CB/RB/S/LB..Whatever you try out for....Do it Big Hommie. *cool*

The best postion for someone who is strong and fast, but not tall, is running back. You will need powerful legs, however, much more so than upper body strength.
If your team is small than maybe 5'6" is not short. In that case defensive back or receiver are an option and maybe QB.

A wide out or defensive back - you better to be able to take a hit and give one.

That you'll have to find out yourself
try them all until you find the one that
you do best - You may find none of
them to your liking,it's a tough sport.

WR/DB is your only option. probably DB because you not that tall. hit the weights a bit more and work on your quickness and agility.
