No, There is alot a BBW's (Big Beautiful Women) who are knock down gorgeous. There are just a lot of small minded people in the world I'm sorry to say.
I myself am a BBW and if people don't like me because of my weight then they don't have to look at me or get to know me. Their loss :0)

Heavier women aren't considered ugly. I'm going to make a distinction between heavy and fat, however.
Someone mentioned Marilyn Monroe being a size 16 - truth is, in our sizes today, she'd be an 8. Average female size in her time was their 12 - our 6-7. Unfortunately, rather than use actual measurements like men's clothing, women's clothing changes with the time. It's easier to make a woman feel better (thus buy more clothes) if you can make your size line "smaller". So even though she's a 12, you make your pants fit a 12 but label them a 10. Sick, but it works time and time again. Ok, back to the point:
A woman that is built - with breasts, an actual waist, a bit of flesh on her has always been more attractive to men in the US (from what all the polls say), than a woman that looks like a young boy.
Historically, bigger women were thought to be healthier, more robust, and very able to have children. They could work along with their menfolk to make the homestead (or campground) a functioning place.
Men of european persuasion felt that a slender frail woman was beautiful. They could show their masculinity by protecting her and caring for her - so long as she could wrench that waist into a tiny corsett while showing off blooming assets up top.
Even then, rail thin wasn't sought after. Shapely was, breasts, hips, and a big old rump. Heavier women (read: healthy women) have pretty much always been the ideal.
Rail thin women, on the other hand, were sought after by the fashion industry for one very big reason. The designer could put them in clothing and have the clothing show movement because it wouldn't be impeded by the person's body. Basically, rail thin was a moving hanger. The woman could wear whatever the designer wanted to put on them - silk, satin, cans, fleece, lights, feathers... it all moved the way the designer dreamed.
Once the fashion industry became more visible and more advertised, women began to believe that since people thought models were "beautiful", they had to be rail thin to be beautiful. Thus the deluge of diet fads and so on. It was nothing more than timing and women that created the idea that model thin was the most attractive state.
Fat women on the other hand, obese women, are not any more attractive than a fat man. Reasoning, in my opinion, that fat people are overlooked in our society - there is only one way that you become fat (in the majority of cases), and that is because of inactivity and overeating. I think its natural to be repelled by someone (in the matters of love) when they subconsciously seem lazy and gluttonous. Sure, we're becoming more accepting of big people in our society - but only because they are out there more - America is the land of 50% obesity (or something very close to that figure).
In my eyes (as a female), I find women that work out to be extrememly attractive. Not with super huge muscles, but well muscled arms, backs, and legs - along with hips and breasts. Everything in proportion. When a woman is truly fit, she seems strong and confident to me. She exudes absolute pride and obviously a measure of self-worth.
Anyway, after all that ranting, I hope it helps make some sense of it for you.

Your feelings are not unusual at all. The only reason that the anorexic look is popular is because that's what Hollywood says is beautiful.
It wasn't but a few decades ago that women with a few curves were considered to be the most-desired. Marilyn Monroe was a size 16! A total cow by today's standards.
Other pin-up girls from that era were all "chunky." I really don't understand how anyone considers these size 0, 1, 2 girls to be attractive at all. They don't look feminine, and they don't look healthy.

Just because someone is not skinny & is a little thicker doesn't mean they aren't healthy & don't work out. Sometimes you just can't help it. Its genetic. I know alot of people who are a little more on the heavy side who are super athletic. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It all depends on you. Most guys I know like girls who are curvier than those who are rail thin. I tend to think if they look rail thin you might hug them & end up snaping them like a toothpick.

Of course it's not unusual. While our culture and media portray the ideal body as rail thin, most people find that odd and uncomfortable. I know dozens of guys who prefer a full-bodied lady.

No, I don't think that heavier women are always considered ugly.
Some men I know LOVE bigger women. I'm not chubby, but I'm not rail thin either and all the guys I've dated love it. Women are suppose to be bigger and curvy.

What?! Jaysus, no; not in my estimation anyway. One of the loveliest, most beautiful, and real-looking women on Tv is Ina Garten, who has her own cooking show called "Barefoot Contessa" on the Food Network. She is warm, welcoming, smart, clever, creative, kind, caring and, yes, she is overweight. But because of all the other fine qualities she possesses, she is, I think, a beauty.
Sounds to me like you prefer women who look like real people and not ideals. Good for you. Good for the human race. Ought to be more folks Out There who feel that way.

i don't see a problem in personal opinion. plus you make heavier women feel better about themselves. a lot of times people calling them ugly or fat make them eat more cause they feel bad so they just gain more weight and then all the shallow people are gonna complain more even though it's their own fault. anyway, it's not unusual.

It strange because many "heavier" women have such a pretty face, and you know they would be dropped dead gorgeous if they lost a couple pounds. But then again many heavier women are nicer and less bitchy than the skinny ones.
