Many people around me have gotten altitude sickness. Even the ones that don't aren't so energetic. I am not a runner but when I get to elavation I just want to run around. Have a little problem with breathlessness but goes away when I rest. What's going on in my body and why do I feel so much better?

pH is how acidic or how alkaline a substance is. Everything has a pH value. You probably enjoy the feeling because of the fact it's a lot " tighter " up there, because of the pressure difference.
