Yes it works...Here is how.. As your car travels foward, relative wind(wind moving in the opposing direction) flows over the wind screen and over the roof of the car.....well in this case, there is no roof...So guess what the air does...Since it cannot follow the roof line because it is not there, it curls downward behind your head in a turbulent flow causing your hair to be blown all which-a-ways...The screen puts a barrier behind your head so the burbling, curling, turbulent wind curls down behind the windscreen now making it possible to ride with the top down with no wind messing up your hair....
