Look, we tax tobacco and liquor under the Sin tax mentality. We force people to use seat belts and wear helmets. All for their own good of course. Why not fat.

So you want to tax people that are overweight. That means that as people get older their taxes go up. If someone quits smoking, their taxes go up. If someone get paralysed in any type of accident, their taxes go up. I could understand a type of fat tax, such as a sin tax on fast food. however just blatantly taxing someone that is over weight is not that great of an idea. That would say that you are being taxed by your looks, Ugly people would get taxed, bald guys would get taxed becuase no hair does not keep theri head warm enough so they get colds more often. People with piercings get taxed, because of the chance of infection. people with funny colored hair get taxed because they fit in the ugly tax. See it doesn't work our very well. On top of this they are finding that a majority of people that are over weight are overweight because they cannot afford eat right, and because they work so many hours to make ends meet, that they cannot afford to do the excersise to loose the weight or keep it off. So you would be double taxing the poor, because they are working to support their families.
Taxing fast food or junk food is one thing, but taxing people is toltally wrong.

No. Slippery Slope. If you can justify that, then what's next ? How about sex? Promiscuous behavior ruins families and spreads VD which also has a high cost to society. Besides being fat doesn't always cost society. Neither does smoking or drinking. I've known people who've lived into their 90's smoking a pack of cigarettes every day.

WELL, since you have blond hair (or at least in that little pic above your name you do) I think we should tax people with blond hair. THey KNOW they are more likely to get skin cancer the people with dark hair so they should stay inside and not get in the sun. This way, they won't get skin cancer and cost me money in some way, shape, or form. OR since being born cost money, we should just stuff you back in the hole you crawled out of. You are an idiot.

I'm tired of people believing that just because someone is fat, they are lazy and eat all the time. I know plenty of people that no matter what they do to lose weight, they never can. Other skinny people try to gain weight and never can. (it has to do with your metabolism). You need to GROW UP!!

We could tax foods that are unhealthy. That would be sin tax. I doubt people get obese eating too many whole grains or vegatables.

I see the logic in it...........If fat people would consume less the demand for certain goods would go down and that would cause the prices to go down for all of us......makes sense......
