How else would they get so rich and be on every corner with Coffee that tases worse than Gas station coffee? I much prefer the Mom and Pop Coffee Shops

It is a little ridiculous, but you have to admit. . .It's handy! When you need a coffee, it's a pain to have to go all around looking for a coffee shop, and if there is a Starbucks right there, odds are that's where you'll go. However, I live in MA and we have way more Dunkin Donuts than Starbucks.

It all depends on where you live. In the city, there's a Starbucks every other block, so busy office workers don't have to travel very far on their break to get decent coffee. In urban areas, they are much farther apart. Where I live, it's a twenty minute drive from one to the next. Obviously, Starbucks wouldn't stay in business if they didn't offer a good product, so stick it in your cup! I personally prefer Starbucks over Caribou, their coffee always tastes burnt to me.

In London you find them in many places very close together.
It is a thing called brand recognition. You see the same place enough and you know you can get the same thing at every location for almost the same price.
Who really cares about starbucks? $4 lattes are good for the rich, it wastes their money. What about McDonald's? They are in more locations over the world than starbucks. They attack the poor by selling cheap food that is horrible for you.
Don't rag on Starbucks, rag on McDonalds.

Starbucks is so riduculously rich that they can afford to do so. This means that if you only have to walk a block to get to star bucks vs. 3 blocks to get to the quaint coffee shop from where you park your car where do you think people are gonna go? So they make more buisness... and more starbucks start popping up in rest stops and walmarts.

I only get coffee from indepenfednt coffee houses.
I REFUSE to go to Starbucks. ( and Diedrichs)
Why dont other people stop going there and support small bussiness.
I also love how every one complains about walmarts putting other bussiness out yet no one complains about starbucks!
Did you know they make so much money that they are now investing in movies ( like achila and the bee)They wan tt ocontrol you.....One cup at a time

I would agree with you. Except for the fact I see people use them. Also, even if it is not Starbucks people love to drink coffee.
If people consume something that often upgrade it make it easy to get and then sell other things as well.
Gas stations do the same thing. Except they have to compete with other brand names Starbucks beats ther competion to the corner by being everywhere.

There isn't a Starbucks on my corner. Or even in my neighborhood, now that I think about it. They might have one downtown, but since I don't drink coffee, I'm not really sure.

I think it is ridicullous, but I wouldn't have it any other way. When I need my coffee, I need it NOW! Always having a good cup nearby thanks to Starbucks is just perfect. :)
Lewis Black claimed that it was designed for people with Alzheimers.
Let's face it, I'm just plain addicted to coffee and that's how I like it.
