I was just wondering in Freshmen/Sophomore years, do they punt or kick field goals.

they do punt, and they could kick field goals if they have a good kicker but usually they just run the 2-point conversion.

teams tend not to kick field goals on the count that they don't have true kickers...they have kids that play other positions do the kickoff...most high school kickers and punters are dragged off of a soccer field...some QBs punt...

Yup they do both. Kicking field goals is tough though cuz most kids at that age aren't interested in the "non-glamor" positons like Kicker.

yes to punting, but kicking not so much because of the lack of kicking ability in Prep football.

yes... but they usually go for 2 points instead (unless they know their kicker is good...)
