first off, i am not a DB programmer. I would like to make a site that has a few pull down menus that the searcher can use to pick search options, then get the results in a list. thanks WJM

MySQL has a front end that I find (fairly) easy to use. It is called the MySQL Query Browser and you can download it from their site.

There is also PHPMyAdmin that you can download and configure for your site, but I haven't installed it before and don't know how difficult it will be to configure.

What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editors are mostly HTML editors.
