too expensive for supplies to be sent. besides would you want to be the guard working at that facility? cuba on the other hand is much closer. only if they could get rid of the media from going there .

Because no nation has a legal claim to Antarctica.
Andrea Yates has been found innocent, so she can't be sent to prison. She'll probably spend many years in a state mental hospital, but she'll not spend another day in prison.
But maybe we could send people who can't write proper English there instead. Good environment to learn, eh?

Aside that, there's the general concern that things unknown to the government are unknown to anyone under, the government, including people who ask or answer such questions.
