It's certainly possible, but it is very unlikely now.
Most of the trade rumors involving John Smoltz were taking place in late June when the Braves were 16 games behind the Mets and 10 games back in Wild Card race. Going into the series against the Mets this weekend the Braves are 12 games behind the Mets but only 5.5 game behind in the Wild Card race. It is possible that if the Braves lose all 3 games against the Mets this weekend they could still trade John Smoltz by the deadline on Monday, but it is still not likely. If the Braves beat the Mets in all 3 games this weekend, I can guarantee they won't be trading John Smoltz away.
As long as the Braves don't lose too much ground in the Wild Card standings before the trade deadline they won't make any trade to lessen their chances of making the playoffs.

technically, anyone might be traded. Smoltz is a 10-5 guy though (10 year vet, 5 with the same team) so he can veto any trade if he wants to.

The Braves are making a run for the Wild Card. If anything they may try to get a starter not trade one.

Everyone's on the trading block this time of year. Lots of teams would be willing to take a chance on him, especially with his career performance in the playoffs. I don't think it's likely that anyone would give up enough to pry him loose though. His age makes him too big of a gamble.
