It is possible that a fault may have occurred which is the responsibility of the mobile phone company.

If you wish to challenge the bill, you should consult an experienced adviser, for example, at a Citizens Advice Bureau. To search for details of your nearest CAB, including those that can give advice by email check the following site:-

If the texts were to a premium rate number (if you manage to find out from orange) then you should consider contacting Icstis:-

Sounds like some sort of automated abuse of your phone, is there such a thing as a mobile phone virus perhaps? Maybe someone has cloned your simm card ID and is using it for mass spam-texting by computer? - I do not know if this is possible, check the internet out. See if they will tell you where your phone was when it sent all these alledged texts (which cell mast it was connecting to).

Ask them for an itemised bill for all the calls and texts made from your phone for the time period of the bill., that is if you claim that the bill is wrong, they can't really refuse.

Any company will let you run up a bill before they block you. That's how they bring in money, by hitting delinquent accounts with fees and charges.
