You could say that most people with jobs are averaging about US$ 1500 after all taxes and deductions, or US$ 3000 before taxes and deduction per month. That gives you nominal earnings of about US$ 36.000 per annum for an average wage earner - but keep in mind that Germany is heavy on education, and that most professionals will have undergone intense training to qualify for that sort of money. If you're unemployed, you may still get about US$ 800 per month from the government, and some people pull this off for decades in a row. A good earner would be making something like 2000 to 5000 US$ per month (the latter is more like what a doctor, lawyer, or leading engineer will earn in their late 30s). Minimum wage is about US$ 5.50 an hour - really doesn't apply to too many jobs, just flippin' burgers or cleaning jobs, most others will be higher. In case you're considering to move there for good, keep in mind that some things carry a surprisingly high price tag there - owning a car and putting fuel into it is extortionate (well, writing from a North American perspective here)...

It depends on your educational Background, where you live, in cities you earn more than in the counties and your age.
Earnings can range anywhere ,after taxdetuction, from net
$ 900 to $5000 and more.
If you have Children or if you married, taxes are somewhat different ,often less. Keep in mind Germany is much more expensive than the most places in the US.

As said, this depends on what you do for a living. You don't really think that the avergae between (say) a cleaning lady who works part-time and the president of BMW says something?

You can search for "gehalt" and the name of the profession you're looking for on a search engine, and see what people say, especially if you understand German.

It depends on the job, your education, what area you are in, how old you are - just like it is here.
