It needs to be a diesel fuel to run off used oil. My father in law does that and he runs diesel.

It may very well be capable of running on ethanol already - if so, there will be a sticker by the gas tank. If not, it is probably possible to convert it by replacing most of the fuel system, as well as the computer, with one from an E85-capable GM 3400 V6.
If you want to power it with biodiesel, well, you'll probably need a lot of creative work with a Sawzall and welding torch to make a new engine fit in there.

1. Used (eg cooking) vegetable oil is converted to a lighter weight fuel (bio diesel) suitable for diesel engines.
For your gas engine, you would need an oil refinery to crack the used veg oil molecules into gasoline.
2. Corn seeds and other high sugar crops (sugar beets, sugar cane) can be converted to ethanol using fermentation and distillation of the available alcohol. But you would need to convert your car to an ethanol-capable fuel system, involving changes to any rubber or synthetic rubber seals thoughout the fuel system, and probably reprogramming your engine computer. And you would need a lot of corn and a home still.

You need a diesel engine to convert to vegetable oil. There are conversion kits you can buy and once installed you can use the oil like gas. But only diesel engines (like trucks and some Mercedes)

I heard that someone from Michigan (I lives here!!!) was inventing something to put water in the gas tank, it created water into steam and it worked for about half a block. lol. But maybe in the future there will be something.

You can't. The vegetable conversion is for diesel engines.
Yours is gasoline only.
