Big ants are crawling down the cord to my humming bird feeder. Tons of them are dying and they are all over the place. Can you think of anything I could put at the top of the cord to make them not want to go down any further?
I don't want to kill them so nothing poisoness.

try a dryer sheet at the top of the cord to the feeder--they hate dryer sheets

Cayenne pepper
baby powder
peppermint spray or maybe peppermint gum..
they dont like peppermint
