my pc has a homepage called GOPHER SEARCH instead of yahoo. how do i get YAHOO back and how do i delete

Click TOOLS in the menu bar
Click Internet Options
Change the homepage address.
Click OK
Click the HOME button.
If it returns to gopher then you have been hi-jacked.

Look at the top of your screen and click on the link which says 'Tools'.When the next box drops down,click on the bottom line which says 'Internet options'.This will open another set of boxes and the front one is entiteled 'general'.You can see,highlighted in blue 'gopher search.Delete this and write in its place www.yahoo.com
Then in the bottom right corner,click on 'apply' Follow this with clicking on OK in the bottom left.
This will change your home page

open internet as you would normaly do,surf to the yahoo page when on that home page click on the tools tab at the top of your screen the dialog box that opens has your present home page listed under the general tab you have a choice of 3 buttons click on use current and then click apply at the bottom of the page

Dude just go to the home page you want, in the explorer bar click and hold onto the icon to the left and drag over your home page icon.. this is by far the most simple way

Jack J is giving a very good point, but he is working on Opera. It won't work on IE
What everyone is saying above will work if your browser is internet explorer, but if you have other browsers like Opera, then you have to click on preferences & change the home page.
Otherwise do the same as above.

go to the top of your page and click on tools and go down to internet options and at the top of it will be a spot to that has your current homepage on it click on it backspace it and then type in www.yahoo.com

If you go to Yahoo.com on the top left corner of the page there is a link that says "Make Y! your home page" Click on it!

right click internet explorer
click properties
in the address box type the home page you want click apply
