I am absolutely scared of this Minnesota team. I am hoping The Tigers can come out of Minnesota with one win.
I think our best chance is Sunday with Bonderman on the mound.
The pitching match-ups are like this:
Friday
Zach Miner (6-2, 4.07)
Francisco Liriano (12-2, 1.93)
(MINNESOTA)
Saturday
Nate Robertson (9-6, 3.70)
Brad Radke (9-7, 4.74)
(possibly DETROIT)
Sunday
Jeremy Bonderman (11-4, 3.66)
Johan Santana (12-5, 3.04)
(DETROIT)

What a amazing win Friday night! That was one I had not expected! Even though liriano did not get the loss, we still kept at it and kept at it. One thing about The Tigers this year, and that is they never give up. They always feel they can win.
I was only hoping for 1, but we might get 2.

I'd say the Twins take 2 of 3; but you never really know. For some reason, I agree Georgie... I really like Bonderman to win Sunday over Santana; just a hunch that they win that one. Bonderman has been winning, but did not pitch all that well the last few times out. He's due for a real good game. (I hope so he's one of my fantasy pitchers) Radke is red hot, and Robertson has pitched ok, that's the swing game. I think Liriano will win tonight.
The Tigers are in good shape, even if they lose 2 of 3 this weekend.

Watch out for Radke
Last 6 starts
4-0, 2.31 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
Over his last 50 2/3 IP, 9/1 K/BB ratio and only 3 BB allowed
Prob be MIN 2 of 3. Bonderman can duel with Johan. They could beat Radke with Robertson, but Radke been tough lately and Robertson has been shaky over last 4 starts
BTW, who thinks MIN would be leading the NL Central if Liriano had been starting all year instead of that dumbass Gardenhire using him out of the pen the first month and a half? Leave it to Gandenhire to F things up either down the stretch or in the postseason! Don't worry Detroit fan, you clearly have the advantage in manager come post season if these two meet in the ALCS.

Friday is a win, as long as Miner doesnt blow it again, Liriano can't hold up against the Tigers, and he'll make some rookie mistakes
Saturday is probably a win, if Robertson can control his pitches, Radke is a weak link in the Twins rotation
Sunday, I dont know about this one, Bonderman is streaky, and Santana might be able to strikeout the Tigers all day. But they'll probably win.
People seem to be forgetting, that although the Twins are 34-8 in their last 42, theyve only gained about 5 games on the Tigers, who have a healthy lead.

Friday shapes up as in the Twins' favor. Saturday's match up looks favorable for the Tigers. Sunday could go to the team that goes deep in the counts and tires out the opposing pitcher. Get Santana to 100+ pitches before the 7th and the odds go up. Of course the Twins will be trying to do the same thing to Bonderman. Good luck.

Hey man .. I know you're a Tigers fans.. But you guys got screwed. "Oh all we have to worry about is the White Sox" .. ha .. Where did these Twins come from .. You were right before when you said the wild card was coming out of the Central, but you werent excpecting the Twins to win it and Detriot to make the wild card did you?
ugh .. to answer your question, i think the Twins will sweep the Tigers.. maybe .. They have a chance against Santana on Sunday .. Thats a good pitching match up, They will both have good performances but the Tigers might win a low scoring game, or the Twins..?
I'll stay with Twins 3-0 though

Georgie boy, I think the Tigers only get 1 this weekend. That being Saturday...
I dont think they'll beat Liriano tonight or Santana on Sunday.

Originally, I was hoping to get atleast one win out of the series, and honestly I didnt think Miner had a chance. But what a great surprise. I think this will be a huge confidence boost for detroit, ( added tothe white sox and A's series), if we can get one more win in this series that would be great, A SWEEP WOW. i am going when Min. comes to detroit the 9th....Here we go Tigers...
