I would probably try to talk them into turning themselves in.
By confiding in you.... your friend has made you an accessory to the crime. Now YOU could get in trouble. If the crime is like rape, theft or murder... you're obligated to turn him/her in. (You can do it anonymously... leave a tip or contact Crime Stoppers) Otherwise, if they get caught... and the law finds out you knew and didn't tell.... you'll be convicted as an accessory after the fact. Do you want a friend that commits crimes in the first place? Sounds like you need to rethink your relationship with this person.

This question is hard,Well im a very kind person well it all matters on what they did,If it was my best friend i might hide it as long as i chould ,Same with just a good friend if we where newbie friends i might if it was something big but not really for something small if it was someone who whould abuse me if i did i whould
1.Call the police
2.Move the heck out of there to another city
3.Change my last name and maybe first and middle(if u have ine)
4.change how i look
but i whould most likely tell the police for anyone but best friend
anonymously.

My best friend is my lady. I don't believe that I would ever turn her in to the police for any reason, up to and including taking another human life. I know that I would try and protect her as best I could. If necessary I would turn myself in and take the fall for her.

YOUR KIDDING RIGHT!?!?!?! If you want respectable answers you should answer questions respectably back. I think I will turn YOU in to the police for insupbordination and covering up for a crime.

Depends on the crime. If it was shoplifting, no.
If they hurt someone else or damaged something...etc. and I thought they would do it again, probably.
Remember if they get caught and it is found out that you knew that could be a crime too

it depends on the crime. if it was murder or something along those lines, then yes. robbery of a store, no but a person? probably.
odds are they will get caught anyway, you could encourage them to turn themselves in.
if you want to stay friends with them then DO NOT turn them in.

I'd talk to the friend, and say you don't like the position they left you in cuz you dont want to rat him/her out but you are having trouble dealing with it - see if you can get that friend to turn themselve in

Man, a true friend wouldn't have put you in in the middle of the mess. Turn them in anonymously.

i would have to say yes because if i dont and the police find out that i knew they would probably arrest me too. also it was wrong for my friend to do wat he did and he deserves to be punished. i would also try to convince him into turning himself in and apologize and pay the consequences.
