I live in the UK. I am a graduate with a 2.1 degree in drama and psychology. I want to start my own business starting people up in IT. Would need to do an open university course.

Depends on your skill level now. If you're a novice, you've got a long road ahead of you. You'd have to start with the basics, both operating systems and application programs, then get more advanced. IT is a huge field. Are you going to specialize? Are you going to "do" IT yourself, or just act as a staffing solution? If you're setting up a staffing firm, you'll need a great deal of business education just to have a chance.
If you're already skilled in IT, focus on business courses, particularly marketing. If you're not... you've got at least 2 years of study before you have much chance in this field.
