You seem to have missed the fundamental point that liberals don't hate America.

The just hate what America is being turned into by a few politicians who are ignoring the constitutional principles this country was founded upon.

In the Preamble to the Constitution, there are five goals (values) of the US government: "establish Justice, to ensure domestic Tranquility, to provide for the common Defense, to promote the general Welfare, and secure the blessings of Liberty"

Liberals think that it's important to pursue those constitutional goals, to "promote the general Welfare, and ensure the blessings of Liberty". And liberal political agendas are based on those constitutional principles.

Conservatives think the more important principles are "to ensure domestic Tranquility" (meaning to promote conformity with 'traditional' ways) and to "provide for the Common Defense". That's fine.

But, it basically comes down to which sets of Constitutional values each group thinks are most important. And it's really sad that people in both camps are accused of hating America because they are trying to support the constitutional principles that this country was founded upon, even if they disagree on which principles are more important.
