I am considering moving somewhere where the cost of living isnt so high. I am currently in Rowland Heights, California. Im a single parent, I am 29 years old, II have two daughters ages 11 and 7. Their father isnt a part of their lives, so I can pretty much get up and go. I'm thinking about Texas? does anyone have any feedback on Texas, or other areas that I might be able to one day own my own home?

Oh yah Texas is the place to go. We currently live in Salinas CA. Our plans is to move to Texas. I have in-laws in Houston and McAllen. I've been to both places, and believe me you can not compare prices there to here. You can find home from $70,000.00. So yah move on girl, you will see the diffrence. My sister-in-law tried moving here to Ca. She moved back, she said she has more extra money in her pocket in Texas than here. And also they have alot of jobs there...

Also McAllen dosen't get Hurricanes or bad weather like Houston. Only very hummid
