some people are getting the Wrong idea
im mean NOT RIGHT To listen to that kind of music to black people

I'm not quite sure. I think this is a restriction that black people have put on themselves. Maybe it's a reaction from when Elvis came out and people were pissed because he was ripping off Chuck Berry and Lil' Richard.
It's all very stupid. I, myself, am fond of Gothic, Industrial, EBM and Punk music (yes black people can be goths/punks-We do exist). Surprisingly, the most opposition I get is from other black people with maybe a hint of shock from white people.
What you will notice is that there are black people performing all types of music. A lot of times they are underground though. And now, more than ever, there is a growing listener base for these genres among black people.

This is ridiculous! I can probably rattle off bunch of black guys who ROCK. Sevendust, Bad Brains, The Urge, Hed PE to name some.
I don't think white people have an issue with this at all, its just outside the expected norm for black people. You can listen to whatever you want.

Well i dont really care if they listen to it or not.. But they probably wont b cool listening to it. Like white people listening 2 rap... they get lable wiggers and black people make fun of them so i surpose black people who listen 2 emo and punk will get picked on as well.

Why should someone be uncool for listening to music just because of their race? That's like saying I can't watch straight couple tv shows and movies because I'm a lesbian. You can listen to whatever you want and if someone is giving you a hard time just tell them where to go.

Kind of like how it's uncool for white people to listen to rap and hip-hop. Guess it's just a racial thing. Not saying it's right, because I completely disagree. America is messed up. I listen to all kinds of music, it doesn't freakin' matter your race. You can't help what kind of music you like.

It's ALWAYS cool to listen to more than one type of music..It's like sharing more than one type of laughter or tears....Music is a beautiful gift..enjoy what you want..I don't care WHO doesn't like the music I listen to...I love all music.It changes like my moods...If you like it, it doesn't matter.
I think the MOST cool thing a person can do is enjoy what you like and not care about what chart they are on, or if other people like it or not..the fastest thing to kill a song is its popularity.
By the way, where would rock music and ALL music be without the help of Robert Johnson and Jimi Hendrix??

Black people are just that, people like anyone else
why can't they listen to whatever music they enjoy
One of my favorite musicians was black & he played rock
and was one of the main attractions at the Real Woodstock
Yes, I'm talking about Jimi Hendrix...may he be rockin' on in the afterlife

I say people are putting a stereo type on black people that they need to listen to rap, hip-hop..r&b..do what makes ya happy in the long run you will want to always be yourself..and not what others expect of you.

It's considering men and women are ignorant. They do not get that track is for each person, it doesn't matter what the tone of your dermis is or some thing like that. For a few cause men and women consider that black men and women ought to pay attention to rap and white men and women ought to pay attention to rock. I'm white and I consider again in center college I used to like rap and I stuck crap for it day-to-day. I was once referred to as matters like a "Wigger" day-to-day. You must relatively simply pay attention to anything you favor and now not permit any one inform you another way. Anyone who could even provide you a bizarre seem for that's simply dumb for my part.

Because most people characterize someone as being a type of person and assume that all they listen to is Rap or hip-hop. Yea, it's pretty damn stupid. I hate it when all people think I listen to is Japanese or Black Metal.
