cause the game inside is dirty or has scratches just get a c1000 percent cotton tshirt and rub the bottom of the disk tfor aboiut a minute and then put it back in i do it all the time and it works for me

the games scratched. Clean the disc. If the game still freezes then gently clean the laser with a lite cloth that wont scratch the laser. If the gamecube still freezes after all that, then go to a gaming store like ebgames, and ask them if they can fix ur gamecube

well if you play it a lot, with not taking any breaks, it will freeze. and if you have had the gamecube for more than a year, it is getting pretty old. so save up money and buy another one or sell that one.

it is ether the disc is scratched or are you using a action replay by any chance because if you are then u have to many codes on. or there might be scratches on the disc reader.

waht kind do u hav my never...GC is more reliable than PS2 n Xbox but to be on the safe side... allow it to be a area where air circulates
