reading my book in between commercials on the television

some writing about a pirate. The story starts off with him on a boat and he's just killed 12 men along with the captain of the boat. He realizes the boat is too big to man by himself, so he's stuck drifting the open sea, however he does see land on the herizon. He is bleeding badly from his right leg, from a stab wound, so he doesn't have much time to get ashore. There are sharks in the water, teased by the blood dripping off the boat from the brutal battle that just occured. He ties his leg with a rope, to slow the bleeding as he feels himself getting weaker. He sits and waits near the bow of the boat where he notices some fishing gear and a harpoon.
.........then I fell asleep, but there's more to it.
