Ever since we are born, we are confused and wonderous about our bodies. It is perfectly natural to wonder what is "down" there, no matter what age. This next entry is completley my opinion, and not fact because other people may think that masturbating all together is wrong. Personally I think that is is healthy and okay. You are not going to hurt your body, in fact, you may be helping yourself, and saving your body. If girls in their younger years find out that touching their private parts feels good and makes them have different emotions, then go for it. It might make you not want to have sex so soon, due to the fact that masturbation is making you feel great that you don't need to have sex. Pretty much what you feel when you masturbate is what your'e going to feel during sex, and you know your body. you cannot get pregnant, you cannot catch an STD.. therefore I say that if you found masturbation and you like it, then stay with it. you might want to check out a health website like www.webmd.com for more information if you need to. hope you have found what you were looking for.

You can but it is a bad body habit to get into, especially at such a young age. A girl doesn't know what is happening to her body when all feelings and sexual urges start popping up in her daily life. Until you start menstruating, and know what is going on with your reproductive process you should show some self restraint and have some self love for your body. Don't abuse your genital area. The day will come when you meet the man that makes you tingle by just being in the same room with you and he will love you, and you him, and he will know what to do to bring you to sexual fulfillment and an orgasm. Self gratification by masturbation just doesn't come close.

The sex drive is a very powerful urge and hard to resist.
I see nothing wrong with masturbation, just not at the breakfast table, OK?

i don't think it is a question of should, rather they DO masturbate or at least play with themselves. it is a natural part of growing up. little boys play with themselves starting at age 6 i've noticed!

If you want to, there's no reason not to. It's a private decision and don't let anyone try to make you feel badly about it. I know of lots of girls who did all throughout their teenage years. Perfectly normal!!!!

It is perfectly normal, and better than going out and having sex with people...you're doing the smart thing by being abstinent. Masterbation is not dirty or shameful, we all do it or have done it and it's part of being human.

I don't believe it does any harm, other than guilt from adults and religious beliefs.
