I am one of my most memorable experiences was when I was in third grade. We had moved so I was in a new school and the only left handed student. My teacher didn't believe in anyone being left handed and took a ruler to my hand everytime I used my left. I went home crying told my mom and wow she went to the school the next day and put it this way the teacher left me alone.

I use both hands. Only my right one to write.
Everything else I do left handed. The worst part is when you sit down to eat with a right handed person on your left side.

I am ambidextrous. I have something to contribute here because I have been trained to do most things left handed. For instance I use my left hand to write and operate scissors, but I throw a ball right handed.

I was taught left handed writing because my mom saw me trying to use my left hand to draw when I was very little and when she'd gone to school people were punished for trying to use their left hand. So she made sure I was using my (natural) hand.

I do work that requires detailed control with my left and greater strength with my right. This means cutting material with scissors requires left handed scissors which are more expensive than right handed versions.

I recommend people who are left handed learn to write up side down so they can keep from smearing the ink. It helps when you are working with other across the table or counter from you too.

Other than this, its only when somebody hands me a pen or pencil to write for them, they try to give it to my right hand that reminds me of my difference.

One experience is getting a sore left hand from using ergonomic scissors designed for right-handed people.

I'm left handed.......why is that so different?
The only thing that I guess one could call an "experience" not like right handed people is having ink smeared on my hand while writing.

I'm left-handed and I don't really have any experiences with it.
