how do you remove the starter on a Yamaha virago 750? i cant get it to slide off.?

Check the manual...you need to drain the oil and remove the left-side cover. There's a little linkage on the inside that you have to disassemble. Its alot more complicated than you would think it should be. Inside the cover is a very tricky gear set-up that will come apart when you take it off, so go very slowly...you might want to take pictures as you take it apart, to help you put it back together. Its tricky, but not impossible.
