Red, Red Wine is actually a Neil Diamond song from the 60's. Tony Tribe and UB40 later on made covers of it, using reggae-inspired versions.

It was recently done in the late 80's/early 90's by an English reggae band "UB40". But before that it was song by the writer in the early 70's "Neil Diamond"

the story goes they met while on line at the unemployment office

it is maybe their most played song but also one of their weakest

their rat in the kitchen album was good ans was the earlier king which was an older best of album
