As auntsarastrikesout said, I don't believe that the Twins can keep this pace up, especially as their schedule starts to get tougher:

J28-30 Detroit
J31-A2 Texas
A3-6 @Kansas City
A7-9 @Detroit
A10-13 Toronto
A15-17 Cleveland
A18-20 Chicago
A22-24 @Baltimore
A25-27 @Chicago
A29-31 Kansas City
S1-3 @New York
S4-6 @Tampa Bay
S7-10 Detroit
S11-13 Oakland
S14-17 @Cleveland
S19-21 @Boston
S22-24 @Baltimore
S25-28 Kansas City
S29-O1 Chicago

They've had to go 34-8 to get back in the race, and have the White Sox really tank it (3-12 in their last 15). Chicago has too much talent and too much offense to keep playing this badly for much longer. Chicago will make the playoffs.

There is so much season left that its too close to call but the next three days will b extremely important. The Twins have two amazing starting p[itchers in Santana and Liriano but they are in desperate need of a big bat. they need to go get a player like soriano for the Nationals. The White Sox have lots of talent but they need a trade to shake up the team. They're very stagnent since the All-Star break. If the twins make a trade for a big bat they definetley are the favorites but if everything stands pat the White Sox will win the Wild Card. But don't forget about the yankees.

You have to take into account that the second place team in the AL West, be it the Yankees or the Red Sox, will be right there alongside the Twins and White Sox. Honestly I don't think the White Sox will make it based on their horrible pitching lately and the Twins will have trouble if they can't generate more power. Unfortunately I think the Wild Card is going to fall to the second place team in the East rather than the Central.

Surprisingly neither. The tigers are playing too good to give up the AL Central as are the Red sox in the East. The way it looks right now, the Yankees are going to win the AL wild card as they are winning the Wild Card as of now and they are on a very hot streak unlike the chi soz who just got swept and the twins that are still back.

In the long run, the White Sox. The Twins can't continue playing this level of baseball for long.
