Yes. One could say that. Physics is most fundamental science. Even though some have mentioned mathematics, It is only a tool. It does not stand for anything. It is used everywhere. So every science is a branch of physics.

No, physics is just the rule behind every sub-class of science.

Physics deals with the 'infinitessimally large to the microscopically small'. The molecules in chemistry, the DNA in biology, the fossils in paleontology can all be broken down into atoms, protons, quarks...
lets just say that physics always has the final word but the other sciences describe the 'quality, the behavior, or such and such aspects' of something. physics is the essence of reality. physics is symmetry, physics is beautiful.

I would have to answer yes. Physics or, more specifically, quantum physics deals with the particles that make up atoms. When you put all the particles together to get atoms and study the properties of the different types of atoms or elements, you're now in chemistry. When you put different molecules together in the right combinations, you get into organic chem. With the right organic compounds, you put them together to get things like cells, which go together to form tissues then organs which combine to form organisms which is biology.
So, yes, physics is to me the foundation science. It just depends upon how complex one wants to get. I will stick to the simple basics and leave the impossible to understand complex life sciences to the experts.

Physics is a part of Science. Science is like everything.Physics is like a part of it.There are other parts or branches of science that you can't even comprehend using the laws of Physics.

Final Word: NO

Yep...don't believe what others say. It's true. Without an understanding of Physics...there would be no other sciences.

This is coming from a chemist/geologist who hated physics.

The arbitrary laws of this universe do not aid in describing mathematical truths. In fact, the exact opposite is true. Mathematical truths aid us in predicting the way our universe will behave.

Mathematics is in no way based on physics. Physics is based on mathematics.
