Generally, no. Some corporate mail systems (Microsoft Exchange for example) allow you to recall an e-mail if it hasn't been read yet, but it only works if the message was sent to another user on the same Exchange system. If it was sent to an outside user, it's not recoverable.
Most mail system on the internet such as Yahoo or Hotmail have no recall capability.

If the email was sent with outlook useing an Exchange server, you can go to your sent items and right click on the sent email and choose recall message. This fover doesn't truely recall it. It sends a recall request to the user as long as the open the recall request first it will recall it. The user also has to be useing outlook for this to work.

I've heard only AOL gives you that option.
If you have sent email to another AOL member, go into your sent box and highlight the sent mail. As long as they have not read it yet, you can simply "Unsend" the email and it will disappear from their inbox. If they have already read it, then of course you cannot recall it. Note that you can also see the status of the email, so you can check and see if your emails have been read or not, or see if they were deleted.

if it's through outlook you can do a recall on the email.
Go to actions in the sent email and then click on recall message. They might have read it though.

if you are sending email on the same server like aol to aol or yahoo to yahoo it is possible. Not sure if yahoo offers that option but i know aol does it only works for sending to other aol members as your email can't go onto another server to delete mail has to be sent to same server so it has access.

Microsoft Outlook allows you to recall a message as long as the recipient has not read the message yet.
I think you are SOL when it comes to Yahoo and Hotmail.

Probably not. While some email services offer this, I don't know of any of the "free" ones who do. But check the Helps for your system as it might. (Or repost with the email system)

Sorry that's such a short answer but that's about all there is to say. Once it's send it's in the recipients In box just about instantly
