you can usully tell by looking inside the guitar and by looking at the brand of the guitar or just by the way it looks.

I play acoustic. There is not a significant difference. If you can play one you can play the other. For the guitars themselves a "classical" guitar may be made with a larger body designed to give a more full-bodied but mellower, softer sound. You're more likely to pluck or strum, in other words play without a pick with classical. It has more to do with the style of play than with the instrument itself, though. If you don't know what type you have, then you have an acoustic. A "classical" would be more expensive. It doesn't matter a lot, though. Unless you're an expert player or an expert listener you're not really going to be able to tell the difference in the sound.

All guitars that are not electric and have a hollow inside are acoustic. Classicals have nylon strings and a wide fretboard which has a slight or no taper. If your guitar has a tapered neck and fretboard and steel strings, it's a regular old acoustic.

there are two types of acoustic guitars, Classical acoustic and Folk (steel string )acoustic. The easiest way to tell the two apart is by The strings. A Classical guitar has three nylon strings and Three steel strings, while a Steel string guitar has 6 steel strings. you can also tell them apart by body style

Classical guitars usually have catgut strings and are strung through the stock head. They usually tend to be a bit wider in the neck and depending on make and model are usually more baritone in their sound. Acoustic guitars are strung to the pegs approximately the same as electric in neck width and tend to be more tenor in sound due to the metal nature of the strings.

There is no difference. There are electricial acoustic and regular acoustic. Electrical has no open hole like regular does. And it has a cord attached to an amp. Then there are electric guitars, i think you can figure ou that one! lol Hope i helped!

What I have heard is that a acoustic has a plastic piece under the sound hole so when you strum you don't scratch the wood a classical does not

a "regular" accoustic uses steel strings and has a smaller neck than a classical guitar, which uses nylon strings and has a wider neck.
