I don't wear shoes in my house. I've seen alot of nasty people that I assume were americans walk into stores without shoes or go anywhere not wearing shoes. My brother plays outdoors without his shoes. I'm sure if you didn't have to wear shoes into places my brother would be the one without shoes.

Generally yes, but not everyone does. A lot of people like to protect their carpets from the dirt off shoes so they don't wear them in the house.

America is pretty diverse. I think you will find all types. Personally, I never wear shoes in the house.

No... I make everyone take off their shoes when they walk into my house. I might wear slippers in my house, but not all the time.
