Yes. But then it also depends on which domains are available. If you get a rockin' domain but it's .net, it could still be worth it vs. a lame or confusing .com domain.

I think it can be, unless you're dealing with tech-savvy clients. Many people are barely computer literate, so they are bound to believe that all web addresses end with .com. If you can, get both the .com and .net endings for your site (that is, get both of the domains). Good luck!

.net is still new to people and most people like the security of what they know. Notice no big websites really use .net yet and that is why. Stick with .com if at all possible.

a little bit but since net is getting more common it isnt as much anymore
if you have a choice take .com over other ones
but if you cant get teh name you want with com, it is better to have the name you want with .net imo

it's all in how you advertise it. keep in mind that .nets are easier to forget than .com's, though.
