how could i convince my parents that the man i chose is the right one for me?

Parents have seen it all and most probably know better. They will not fall for emotional stuff. Just plain cold logic.

You shouldn't have to convince anyone that this is the right man for you, if you and him are happy then that is all that matters. Sounds like to me, you're still trying to convince yourself. I learned a lesson the hard way by listening to everyone and trying to make everyone else happy and ended up losing someone I really and truly was in love with! TRUST ME!

Possibly you cannot. A parent will have expectation for their child that sometimes never changes until they realize that the child knows more what is right for them than they do. Flip a coin or you can wait until the parents come to grips with themselves. Either way it is the parents that are charged with the convincing not you. Let them see it in their own way, after all, they got you to where you are so they cannot be all that bad. They are individuals too and are entitled to think the way they do. Call a truce with yourself and let them think their way until they change and use ur energies for the more important things in life. As parents they will come around just let them do it in their own time not yours.

Your parents will never think anyone is good enough for you. Talk to them and ask them to give your man a chance and get to know them. Question is, why do they think he isn't good for you because in many cases parents are usaully right and others see what we can't see when we are in love.

I don't know how old you are, but your parents aren't the ones who will have to live with the man -- you are. It's not UP to them. It's up to you. They love you? They'll have to accept your decisions, and that includes who your partner is. I'd say don't ever bring a man home to meet them until you're sure about him yourself. This will keep them from unduly influencing your own decision, and if they try to talk to you about it, say "I love you; I love him, and I will make this decision on my own. End of discussion."

If they don't like the man you are with, you could talk to them about why they don't think he's right for you. They may have some legitimate concerns that you don't see for yourself. If you are truly happy with him, it may just take time for them to see this and accept your choice.

Well try telling them how you feel about the man and tell them that you really know him and feel as if he is the one you want to be with. also make it clear that you and your parents have different feelings towards different people. they might not like him but they are going to have to accept it that you do and since you do like him they need to respect your feelings.

You can't, that is something thath would have to be showed to them in order for him to get they're respect. I watch how my daughter is being treated and spoken to before I give judgement. But remember that they are only looking out for you. Cause when he is not there they will be. You will need they're shoulder to cry on.

ok they sure see you happy all the time becoz you're actually happy...tell them that you'll take full resposiblity if sumthing mishaped or went wrong...but if they want to interfere and everyday come up with a new thing for a new guy that ain't gonna work out....and what'll happen? worst case scenario you and your hubby will get split but as of now it's you life and you're so happy with wut u got.

just be happy. if you are happy, then they should be too. the more you try and convince, the more that they will suspect that there is something to hide...
