If I was drunk enough, and if at least one of my friends came with me...and I'd sing something like 'Sweet Home Alabama' because when everyone's drunk that song always sounds good :)

I karaoke all the time. I was just at the bar Wednesday night singing Sweet Home Alabama, Sister Christian, and 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins.

I have only sung Karaoke once, and that was at a private party.
Remind me to tell you that story someday.
But.....if i were to ever sing Karaoke in a public place, there is only one possible choice of songs: Feelings, by Morris Albert.
Hey, if i'm going to sing really badly.....i want to sing a really bad song.

I have, never will again. I sang "just like Jesse JAmes" by Cher with one of my co-workers. Man I sucked. Here I thought I knew the song, turns out I really only know the chorus. Anyway I found out like a month later that the whole time we were up there my coworker that I was singing with was giving me dirty looks the whole time cuz I was singing louder than her.

I always sing at Karoake bars and the song that I would sing that always seems to get people and outta their chairs is "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

Yep. If you're at a bar, mostly everybody is drinking and we all know what happens when people drink...EVERYTHING gets better!!!! I would sing I love Rock n' Roll by Joan Jett or Tainted Love by SoftCell ( English accent and all) You're right, I have NO shame!

Yes I would, but only if I got a few drinks out of it. I would sing one of three songs.

i made the mistake of attempting to sing "blue velvet" once
but it all depends on the list the decor of the bar and the audience

Maybe - it would depend on the song selection and how confident I was feeling that evening. I love to sing. My husband, however, would crawl out on his hands and knees because he would be embarrassed that I called attention to myself.

of course! it's fun, and i'm sure other people have sounded worse than i would. I'd love to sing bohemian rhapsody!! it's a fun song perfectly suited for such an entertaining activity. and you don't have to take yourself seriously singing it! a duet would be cool too, because then you'd have a friend for support, and added hilarity!
