steel strings have a more brighter sound than nylon strings because theyre made of steel. Nylon are more softer and muffled up.

Usually, nylon strings are used on Classical Acoustic guitars. Steel strings are used for regular acoustic and electric guitars.

If you have a classical acoustic guitar, better to stick with nylon. Also easier on your fingers, as the other person mentioned.

I went with steel on my Bc Rich Warlock
And Nylons on my acoustic, but i find they work better on Classic's
Classic guitars are mostly smaller and have a wider neck than a 'normal' acoustic

Steel strings have a brighter sound.
Nylon strings have a softer sound.

Nylon is easier on the beginner's fingers.

Steel strings have a different sound to them, but they hurt your fingers. Most beginners guitars have a mixture of both on them. Go for that until your fingers get used to it
