It is about as bad as they say it is, and maybe even worse. The rate of change of the heat is increase is astounding, and there are more effects than rising sea levels. The major problem comes from a couple of countries: USA, China, India, and Russia. Its not only the cars, but also factories which create smog, CO2, and put nitrides and sulfides into our atmosphere. Countries wont sink into the ocean, rather the ocean will rise to the point that the amount of dry land will shrink vastly. And virtually every coastal city will be underwater, not to mention the pacific islands. The only way to reverse the damage is get people to stop driving cars, and use less energy in a day. Americans on average are the worst, and the people that live in big cities use even more energy than the average. One possible solution would be the invention of a Cold Fusion Generator, or every country becomes 100% dependant upon solar, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, and nuclear energy. although that would take decades to accomplish.

I watched a documentary on the discovery channel on global warning. It's scary and real. It will harm the world if, people are not cautious of their actions. It is humanity fault because we are polluting our air. We are wasting energy and it cant be reverse but, we can slow the process. The documentary stated that. I did not know Al Gore have a documentary on this issue. When does it comes, time, and channel?
Documentary Predicts:
Some areas around the world will be under water (New York, part of Florida, London, and I can't remember the rest.
Good Luck!!!

The sun is hotter than in the past. It so happens that this occurs now and then. It's cyclical.
Really want to know? Go to the link number 1
If there really is global warning occurring then why is the Antarctic ice pack growing thicker?
See link number 2
And by the way, does any body know how much the earth's average temperature has increased in the last 500 years?
Try 1.8 Deg F. That's right, 1.8.
How about Trees? A good thing right?
"Earth's vegetation is churning out vast quantities of methane, a greenhouse gas far more potent even than CO2. This is not a product of trees and plants rotting, which everyone already knew was a source of methane; it is an entirely natural side-effect of plant growth that scientists had somehow missed".
Read link number 3 Then tell me what you think we should do about trees. Cut them down?!?
As for Gore's documentary I don't put much credence in it.
I believe it's based more on politics than on fact.
But that's a whole 'nother story, as the saying goes.

Gore's documentary is just gloom and doom mongering, and it only included a few scientists and naysayers with a penchant for disaster hysteria. Any scientist will tell you that weather is cyclical. Some cycles last months, some years. And, any scientist will tell you that a volcano eruption like Mt. Saint Helens or Kracatoa will send more gases and junk into the atmosphere than 100 years of human pollution. Global temperatures fluctuate naturally. And anyone who puts their trust in the national media about this instead of doing their own research and reading ALL sides of the global warming debate deserves to be burned by the sun.

I even have mixed comments because of the fact scientists have mixed comments. extraordinary, isn't it? they the two have stages interior the comparable ingredient, yet differing comments. yet, i will inform you this. I watch a lot of Discovery channel and that they do all kinds of documentaries on those products, and so far the final public is of the conventional climate trend. the earth is going by way of stages, the ice an prolonged time and meltdowns... (dont be attentive to the surely term) and good now we are melting... supposedly that's conventional. the only different ingredient that i be attentive to is we had record breaking temps this summer season, which some could think of is using world warming, even with the undeniable fact that, the previous record set exchange into interior the Nineteen Forties... SO of course we had those kinds of temps in the past you be attentive to? ~edit.... even with the undeniable fact that, if that's occurring, are we the only united states interior the international inflicting this? I mean, come on. and the guy under me... iammoviemaven... if liberals knew approximately this for a decade, why have not they completed something approximately it?

No, countries won't sink into the oceans. Yes, it's all humanity's fault. No, there is no way to reverse the damage, though we could stop causing more damage. No, you couldnt pay me to see Al Gore's movie.

I think the evidence is clear that global temperatures are rising, and they strongly suggest that humans play at least some role in the process.
Still, I think the more extreme scenarios of cities being suddenly flooded and multiple hurricanes brewing out of nowhere are not very realistic. Climate change will have some negative effects AND positive effects. Whatever the balance of those effects will be, they will probably develop gradually. In a couple of hundred years, New York might be underwater, but it will be a gradual process of losing a few inches per year, not a sudden flood like Hollywood tries to present it.
As such, I think humanity can adapt to global warming, as we have adapted to many other challenges. We should be wary before accepting drastic changes meant to counter global warming. It's possible in many cases that it would make more sense to adjust to change than to try to prevent it.

Most of the people don't care about this, but the truth is that is a very serious matter, you can feel it every summer, is hotter and hotter, tsunamis are the results of the ice melting in the Arctic, and earthquake, we really need to do something, and I hope a lot of people put more attention in al gores documentary. I really scare, and more for my little girl, kids cant go out no more if they are not super covered with a sunblock.

I think that global warming might just be our fault we have pushed the earth to our satisfaction. I think we are being punish we might just be able to reverse everything but it will take a whole lot by everyone not just some. And for our countries to sink i think just Cali. because there is a fault (an opening on this state) and normally when its hot then rain and back and forth earthquakes for some reason follow right after so i think it might be sometime soon when there will be no Cali. really sucks though best state i think. but for now dont worry to much about it just live life day by day.

Yes, it is our fault or really the oil companies. I don't know a way to reverse the damage. Coastal areas may flood. I'm gonna see Gore's movie. Gore should have won the 2000 election.
