It made me jump several times, and it's pretty gory- lots of blood and death. I think it's a good choice as long as the people you invite can handle scary/bloody movies.

Depends what scares you. I wouldn't classify it as a horror flick. More like a slash and gore kinda movie. Better than the original.

To sum it up...IT'S F@#KED UP! But I thoroughly enjoyed it. Haven't seen a slasher movie like that in quite some time. In the way of "blood and gore" it beats Hostel and Saw (and especially Saw II).

You want a scary movie (no shock value, or overly gory scenes, just straight up shiver up your back, hair stand on ends), you should see The Changeling, The Grudge, The Sixth Sense, An American Haunting.

And as a party flick, there's always the cult classic Evil Dead.

I just saw it the other day.It was pretty good.Better than most of the so called "scary" movies that have come out of the past couple years. It takes a little while to get going, but most movies do.There were a few parts that made me jump.I think you should play it at your party.

That depends on your concept of "scary", if you like campy older films that rely on blood and gore, then you'll like it, but if not I'd suggest the following, THE LAST BROADCAST, THE GAME, FRAILTY, IDENTITY, THE CHANGELING, all are great scary fun. Hope you have a great party.

It's sort of scary, it ends badly in my opinion. My problem with it was that there was a baby in the family... I can't stand the thought of a baby being in danger. Best wishes
