I would just hop on and if you didn't like it don't ride that one anymore. Start out with the smaller ones and build your way up!

Watch Final Destination 3. No I'm Kidding. Just know that there is a such thing as seatbelts and roller coasters dont break easily. The wheels are safe and cannot fall off. To get the full thrill, dont close your eyes on the first accend up. You'll be fine. You cannot fall if your seatbelt is on correct. Even if the coaster stalls upside down. Just dont get on any Disneyland rides. Those are like 'Life-Threatening' stunts. The Hydrolics can't rupture. And the seat belt has another seat belt attached to it. It's all right to ride. You shouldn't really have a fear at all.

I used to work at an amusement park and at a roller coaster there. Just know that the rides are inspected every single day by maintenance people and are monitored and checked by computers and ride operators throughout the day. Roller coasters are really fun. Whatever you do, don't watch Final Destination 3.

The best way to get over any fear is to face it head on. Ride a roller coaster. You don't have to like it, simply by riding one means you are not afraid of it. After that, if you still don't like them it is just that. Not fear. Dislike.

There are roller coasters with different levels of thrill factor. Just start out on the tame ones first (no loops) and progress from there. You might try convincing a young friend to come with you just in case you want to try one of the kiddie roller coasters without feeling out of place.

I have a good one: disneyworld in orlando... I went on alot of the rides and they were all fun and completely not scary(except for the space orbiter or whatever but thats because it was very open heights, I have a great fear of open heights), then you can start working up, I now do the big really fast and upside down rides at six flags over texas

First of all, think about what you fear about them. If it's panic attack, you may want to take a reincheck on them, since it may cause you to have a heart problem, or atleast feel like your heart is going to explode if you're too nervous about it. If you're scared about the heght, the speed, jsut think about it. Most roller coasters aren't that fast, and the ones that are... don't mind them. You don't have to go on them if you don't want to. Don't push yourself to go on one if you're not comfortable though, you could get an injury or something that may lead to a heart condition.

you should start on smaller and slower rides. if u live in the bay area go to great america and ride vortex, it sounds scary but its not. anyways after you ride a roller coaster you'll love it. trust me, thats what i did.
