how much exactly is 512 MB?

Doesn't look like it. The official site says that it has 512 MB internal memory. It will have an expansion bay for SD memory cards; and a place to plug in GameCube memory cards for playing GC games.

I won't use traditional memory card but it will have an internal memory but you can expand it wid SD cars SD card are like the ones used in DS except they r blank they are like a micro floppy with more available memory..

from what i understand there will be slots for sp cards. other than that i don't know.
