They may be. My advice would be to go to your local library and check out a antiques guide. You may find they're worht something after all! :)

To give you some examples at both ends of the spectrum, a glance at ebay reveals a 1963 Christmas Catalog with 15 bids that has gone up to $56 and a 1964 Fall & Winter Catalog with 2 bids currently at $5.60 and a 1940 Spring & Summer with 2 bids up to $49.99.

So, yes there is a market for these things in good conditionif you are in a position to find the right buyers.

The other half is that when people run out of TP they would give ANYTHING for one of those old catalogues!
