Well, since you already have the RAM purchased, the hard part is over (assuming you have the right type for your PC).
Basically you will need to unscrew your case, and find the RAM slots on your motherboard. They will be long thin slots which mach the size of the RAM stick(s) you have. You will already have RAM in your machine, so just find the similar looking sticks.
If you look closely at the slot, you will notice that the RAM stick will only fit one way. So there is no reason to force the RAM into the slot. Just look at the grooves on the stick, and in the slot, and just fit it in there.
There should be two little clip things on each side of the slot that secures the stick of RAM into place. Once the stick is in, the two clips should hold the stick securely into place.
Once the sticks are in you are done! Turn on your computer, and it should recognize the new RAM immediately assuming everything in the computer is working properly.
To check your new amount of RAM, simply right click on My Computer in Windows, and then left click on Properties. It should show the total amount of RAM you now have.

Do it very carefully. Touch the computer case (unpainted surface) to discharge any static you may be holding before you pull the RAM card out of the anti-static bag. Line the card up with the slots. Notice the cutout on the card and where it's corresponding protrusion is in the card slot (PCI, PCI-X) is on the motherboard. Insert it carefully and pull the white (usually) tabs toward the card. Make sure it is FULLY inserted into the slot.
Be sure the power is OFF first.
Good luck

Go to the Help on your computer. It will show you where you have to do it and how. It starts from the instruction to unplug the power and goes through, step by step until you plug the power back in.
