Well, being told you are beautiful is a nice compliment, even though you should already know that you are beautiful because you must think good of yourself. As for material stuff, they come and go and they break and get lost so it is not worth much. A lot of the things given to you are things you can get for yourself. They don't really do much for you in the first place. To answer your question, being told that you are beautiful.

I know that nowadays girls are very superficial and materialistic, but that is what society constantly tells us to do. I belive that a compliment here and there don't hurt and noticing lil things are great and maybe a very THOUGHTFUL gift once in a while is awsome, BUT it depends on the girl. If they like you giving them things, reconsider their reasons for liking you and the same goes for those who live on compliments. The last thing you want is a Paris Hilton on your hands. She may look great on the outside but not much of a person inside..... you decide.....

Well if it is the truth and the gifts are for the right reasons both but if you are just doing it to do it then neither is worth anyones time
