I have never had any problems with a Logitech mouse going bad. I have used them for years. Every now and then I do have to open the back and clean the crud/lint/etc off the little roller bars & wheels inside with some tweezers and a cloth. Then it works like new again.

I have my Logitech Mouse for 4 years now and not a single problem with it.. Knock on wood+##*... I have also a web cam and a keyboard and it works great.. No problems what so ever.. Probably you just have some bad luck or the place where you buy your equipment sells you old, been in the shelves for ages kind of equipment...

I'd say get the most expensive models. OR go back to the good old MS Intellimouse. They have pretty good models these days. I still own the very first on the market, the one that was about $90. Still works great.

If that's instantaneous it got here with a USB adapter that works because of fact the antenna. Did you plug it to the computing device? Does the mouse have the batteries on and are they charged and working? Is the swap below the mouse interior the "On" place? Does the computing device understand the USB gadget? in case you checked all this and it nevertheless does not artwork i choose to advise returning it and getting yet another one.
