My bf and I have been together for 5 years, I'm 28 as of next week, he's 25. We almost got engaged last year, but he got cold feet before he bought me a ring. We even had a little bit of planning done. We love each other, are best friends, and I know he does want marriage and kids in his future--even though I've always been more anxious about getting married sooner because I'm a bit older.
He's been saying things lately like--wouldn't you be surprised if I got you and engagement ring for your bday? And at a friend's wedding last week he asked my what I would want my bride/groom song to be--and how he liked the idea of using homemade cd's with the soundtrack to the wedding on it...
You see--never b4 would he say anything that would bring up conversation about getting married because he didn't feel ready. He's taking me out to dinner Monday night for my bday and going to Marineland (dolphin park) the day b4. So does it sound like he may be ready to pop the quesion? What gives?

As the old song goes.."You can't hurry love".
Realizing that you are older, you need to give him breathing room. Your clock isn't ticking.. you should be glad that he is thinking and waiting, Marriage is lasting, he and you should be 100% sure.
And at 28... you should just now be thinking about marriage. As you have your whole life time to be together.
And what my mother said to me when i was getting antsy.
If he loves you Now, he will love you next year, so what is the hurry??
And...she was right. he did and still does

Sure, he might finally be ready. Just don't get your hopes up that your birthday will be the day. The day I thought my husband was going to propose wasn't as much fun as it could be because popping the question was all I could think about. The day he did it was much nicer because I didn't expect it at all and it was icing on the cake for a perfect day.
My advice is just to let things happen in thier own time. It sounds like ya'll have a great commitment to each other and that's the most important part.

This would possibly sound bizarre, however toothpaste! Use a few white toothpaste (paste, no longer gel!) and dab somewhat at the pimple. Leave it in a single day and wash it off the following day. It reduces redness and dries out the pimple, making it plenty much less noticeable. Clean you face daily as constantly and do not contact or pop it! If you pop it, you are simply going to go away an unsightly scar if you want to be everlasting. Clean with an oil-loose pimples wash.

It sounds like he might be thinking of it more. Don't expect it because if he does it will ruin the surprise, and if he doesn't then you will be let down when he has tried to make your birthday special for you. If you both love each other and are happy with each other it will happen. No need to rush or push anything, you want them to be ready and if he loves you he will when he feels ready. Don't let him think he is pressured because then it might scare him. Good luck and happy bd

He might just be checking to see if you are ready..or trying to convince himself that he is ready..............I wouldn't "hold my breath" on my b-day. Just enjoy the day and if it happens it happens
trust me...NOT knowing when the ring is coming is so much nicer than knowing..my mother in law told my co-worker that he son brought me a ring....and she told me...so when I opened it I was like yea sure....cause the excitement wasn't there,,since I already knew about it
Good luck!

He's actually getting ready to break up with you. All these comments you speak of are a cruel form of dramatic irony. It's almost funny in a dark way.
