I hope Francisco Liriano will, but the one that has is Fernando Velenzuela in 1981. 13-7 record and a 2.48 ERA. Dwight Gooden won the Cy Young in 1985 and won NL rookie of the year in 1984.

Fernando Valenzuela haha, I in basic terms checked, and he did no longer get MVP. yet he remains the only pitcher to have ever gotten Rookie of the year and the Cy youthful in the comparable year.

No, but Don Newcombe (50's with Dodgers) during his career won them both plus he also won the MVP award......a feat that will last longer then Dimaggio's record or any other record for that matter, for they don"t even consider pitchers now......Mariano Rivera should have been the MVP last year!!
