Asking to wear makeup?

I know this may seem really stupid, but...

I dont wear makeup only becuase i dont know how to ask my mom if i can wear it. i feel weird with out it becuase almost everyone in my grade wears makeup, but not me :( what are some ways that i could ask her.


ooh, my older sister wears make up, and sometimes i steal hers before i go to school, but i want my own, not hers.

and.. school starts in about a month, and so i want to wear it before school starts :)

I don't know how old you are, but you should just be up front about it. And maybe start with just asking to wear some mascara and lip gloss or something. That's what I did when I wanted to start wearing makeup.

Just be really mature about it. Aproach her and Say.... Hey Mom can we talk? And Then you begin... " well Mom Im getting Older Now and I think over the years ive been responsible enoughf to Mature up... and I would like to take that small baby step and Become A young lady by Wearing makeup. DO NOT TELL HER YOUR FRIEND OR ANYBODY ELSE WEARS MAKEUP IN YOUR GRADE!!!! That ruins It. Then You Tell Her I dont Have to Wear Alot But Just Start Of with A little Mascara It doesnt Have to be Heavy.....! So Im kindly Asking You To do me A favor and Let Me Feel Good About Myself. " Im ready" I love you Mom then Give Her Ah Hug. And Tell Her A little Somthing You Had In Mind

Or You Can Just Secretly Buy Make-up And Apply It at school always Works. Just Wipe It off Before You Get home!

don't be shy, just ask you Mom if it is o.k. with her if you wear a little makeup , not much just a touch. Go to Wal Mart or any store and get some Maybeline,its great and reasonable and all need colours. Remember you inner arm is the colour you should add in you face ,don't go to many shades to dark, it looks not good.Get yourself a nice light lipstick and a little eyeshadow in light green or blue or beige tones. Then watch your sister how she does it, or ask in a Drugstore behind the makeup counter a lady to show you. The all don't mind helping you.

If everyone in your grade dived into the ditch...would you follow? There is no rule that states you must be the same as everyone else. You sound a little young to wear make-up, you are pretty enough not to need it probably. I wonder if the school approves of all the make-up?
If you really want to wear it you should ask your mom straight off, let her decide if you are old enough.

I would approach my mom and say something like "okay, I want to ask you something and I want you to listen before you decide" That way she won't hear "Make-up" and think "NO!"
Then I would explain to her what kind of make-up you want to wear. Maybe say " I would really like to start wearing face powder and lip gloss" Then I would ask "would you help me pick some out and teach me to apply it" That way you are kind of kissing up and also offering to spend time with her. As the mother of an 11 year old girl, I think that would work for me.

Well, just go and buy some makeup if you want some. And then you can wear it one day and see if ur mom is okay with it or not. If she doesn't say anything then it's fine. I'm sure it'll be okay with her if ur sister already wears some. Just don't put TOO much on...

Just start wearing it one day, that's what I did in 5th grade. My mom really didn't care. She gave me some tips on what to do. So just start wearing it, and see what your mom says. But go suttle.

if u want to wear makeup go up to ur mother n tell her but just if ur feeling bad because all ur friends are putting makeup and not u..... u r not supposed to......becoz people look better without makeup!

i know makeup can change the looks of people,,,,

but what is wrong with what you were born with, and all the wonderfull gifts that god gives you when you are born,,,why cover that up, it does not change who you really are...
i know when i got married, we went on our honeymoon, my wife went into the bathroom and removed all her make up , and when she came out ,it scared the heck out of me,,, i told her that that was fraud, she said you just pay the bills and shut up,,, so i did....
