I grew up on Boise, Idaho....spent 26 years there. Never saw a cockroach in my life until I moved to Florida.

As long as there are warm places for them to hide and reproduce they can live there. A source of food helps, but isn't that important. Cockroaches eal almost anything, including each other.

A few years ago, on a business trip, I met a scientist who was just returning from 9 months in the AntArctic. As he told me about the weather and cold, I mentioned it sounded like the perfect place to live without household pests like roaches. He informed they even had roaches down there. Although not a severe problem, he said you would see one or two occasionally. So I guess there is no place safe from roaches..

ya cockroaches live all over the world. people say that if their was a nuculer bomb that cockroaches would be the only thing that would live. some people say that if u cut of the roaches head that it could live for about three weeks. i would like to see a roach without a head. hope that answers ur question.

I can quite honestly say that I've never seen them in Scotland. The first cockroach I ever saw was when I was eight years old and holidaying in the tropics. I screamed the house down because I had never seen such big, ugly insects before in my life! But I don't think you do get them in the UK, perhaps because it can be quite cold here in the winter.

Maybe depends on the climate. I used to live in The Philippines and they are over there. I'm in California now and they're here too.

I would guess they do because they are one of the oldest surviving creatures.
