Mother-In-Law
She is very weak minded and afraid of everything. She won't even drive anywhere besides where she lives. She likes to criticize, but then again that is alot of mother-in-laws. She lost 3 babys to stillbirth back in the day, but likes to tell all the grandchildren (6 years old and 8 years old) all about her dead babies which I think is disturbing. She also drinks a lot, so maybe I am glad she doesn't like to drive too much. Oh yeah, she made tapes for her kids too listen to when she is dead...and gave them to them for Christmas. The thing is, she is perfectly healthy. Just crazy.

My Mom (-in-law) is the best. She treats me like I am her own daughter, she even introduces me to people that way. She raised a wonderful son and she treats me better than my own mother does. I can't say enough about how great she is. My husband and I have been married 12 years this year, and she has yet to interfere in our lives. In the beginning she tried to give her "advice" on how to raise the kids but she accepted that we were going to do it our way and stopped. It's nice that she has accepted us for the adults that we are, and that I am not the woman who stole her son. I hope you have a great relationship with your mom-in-law too. It certainly makes your marriage easier in that department.

Okay this may be weird but gotta be honest here,I am 16 yrs older than my man..his Mom isnt much older than me..but you'd think we came from 2 different worlds, hers being country & poor mine being upper mid-class big city..so I guess we did..=)We get along fine enough,I love her she loves me etc...Only time we clash is when Dad in law and my man are into an agrument
& I have to take sides..Dad in law is another story too..hes the one I clash with more..so I'll wait for the dad in law question & have something maybe more juicy for ya!..hehe

My now ex-mother-in-law was the antichrist. She is and was evil, sneaky, manipulative, and words just cannot describe that nut job. She was the main reason that I divorced my first husband.
However, my new mother-in-law is wonderful! She is fun, outgoing, smart, and doesn't meddle whatsoever! Plus, I only see her once or twice a year!

I have never met my mother in law (or my sister in law, or any of my nieces and nephews on my husband's side of the family) so it's difficult for me to have any level of feeling toward her.
Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will get to meet, as she has not yet met either of our children. It's tough when you live half a world apart and its difficult for either of you to travel.

I like my mother-in-law (MIL). She's fair, fun to talk to, and generous. We don't get to see her very much because she lives on the other side of the country from us, but we talk on the phone occasionally.
The thing I don't like is that, as a scrapbooker, I like to make little gift scrapbooks for friends and relatives and she doesn't want them. She just wants photos (and only candid photos, nothing professional like portraits). It hurt my feelings a little when she went through other family members to get that message to me. But oh well... I just send her photos now.

Have you ever seen the movie "Let's throw mama from the train" well, that's how I feel about my mother-in-law. She hates me, because I won't let her run our lives. I just want to wave a magic wand and make her disappear.

She's pretty cool; if she and I were the same age, we could have created a lot of mischief together. She spoils the heck out of my daughter, which saves me some bucks. She knows a lot of cooking and house maintenance secrets too :)

My mother-in-law is a sweetheart and I like her very much. She doesn't meddle into my marriage, but always wants to help if help is needed and asked for. My only reproach to her is marrying and remaining married to a man who doesn't treat his stepsons (my husband and his brother) as his children, and who was emotionally abusive to them throughout their childhood.
